The one with a rush of colour and centuries-old traditions

In a small corner in Bulong Estate Winery in the Yarra Valley, Nina and Abhi wed in a burst of colour, surrounded by their adoring friends and families. They performed the Kanya Dan Exchange of Hands where Nina has her palm placed on Abhi’s palm to signify her joining to a new family. Abhi applied Sindoor to Nina’s hair parting and placed the Mangal Sutra Sacred Necklace a sacred necklace around her neck as symbols of his love, commitment, and respect. There were joyous celebrations as they performed the Jai Mala Exchanging of Garlands as a symbol of their decision to marry. Together with their wedding party, they performed the Agni Pooja Circling the Sacred Fire which is lit as a divine witness to the union. Abhi and Nina circle the fire three times, taking their first steps as a married couple.

Talk about a dream. Nina was absolutely radiant adorned with henna tattoos and bridal saree and Abhi in his pale gold kurta pyjama. But honestly, it was their personalities that really shone.  I actually don’t know how I end up with such genuinely beautiful people as clients.
